While everyone else has been on vacation and enjoying the end of summer, the edopter team has been hard at work on some major updates to the site!
The Showcase: The all-new Showcase is your chance to be rewarded for calling the next big thing. Trade in points you’ve earned on the site for free products and opportunities!
New Homepage: Start to see the bigger picture. New feeds, buzzing charts and the latest activity on the site.
Simplified Browse Page: Quick and clean, find the trends you’re looking for or discover something new!
Redesigned Help Section: Your questions, now answered. Everything from the big picture to specific questions in the FAQ.

BIG THINGS COMING SOON
I know, I know, its been a while since we last posted an update, but we’ve been hard at work on some awesome new features on the site. Most importantly, The Showcase is extremely close to launching and we’ve got a ton of cool things in store for our users.
Some more formal announcements are coming next week, so all I can say now is start building up those points! You can earn points for almost any interaction on the site (adding content, discussing trends, etc), but the best way to earn big is to get in on early stage trends. The more people that join your trends, the more points you can earn, so share what you’re into with your friends!
Also, if you haven’t checked out the edopter Facebook Application, install it now and feature the trends you think have the most potential. If people find out about trends through you and get in on them, you earn valuable influence, which gives you access to even more features!

We’ve been working non-stop to make edopter a better and more robust experience, and we have a couple big things to share with you: an all new portfolio section and the launch of the official edopter Facebook application!
NEW PORTFOLIOS
Your portfolio has been completely redesigned to make it easier to keep track of where you stand on edopter. There are a ton of new features, including:

Favorite trends: Got a favorite trend (or three) that you want everyone to know about? Feature it on your overview page!
New comparison tools: See how you stack up against the rest of the community, including the all new Vs. tool

FACEBOOK APPLICATION
Our new Facebook application adds new functionality to your edopter portfolio. On the Facebook side, it gives you the chance to share your current trends, your ranking and your recent activity with your Facebook friends. Even cooler, it automatically syncs your Facebook friends with edopter. When any of your friends install the application, you’ll instantly be able to follow them from your edopter portfolio. Try it out now!

edopter in NYC tonight
Come hang out with edopter live in NYC! Tonight we’ll have a booth at Mashable’s Exhibit Hall for Internet Week New York. Come by after work for the free event (6-10 PM). We will be demoing the site, handing out freebies, and talking to our users - face to face. Should be incredibly fun.

Beta Update
A lot has been going on in the world of edopter, and we wanted to give you a quick update.
MAJOR REDESIGN
We have been working hard to simplify and streamline the site. The biggest change is how the trend pages look: big icons, big text, and a simpler layout.

We also implemented a more powerful share tool for each trend. Found something you are dying to share with your friends? Simply click the “Share this Trend” button to email or post it to your favorite link-sharing site.

GET THE LATEST
Several people have asked us to make it easier to discover the latest trends added to edopter. We just activated the first of several RSS feeds. A bigger selection of feeds will be available within a week, so be sure to follow the edopter blog.
